HTC One Max to Run Android 4.3 with Sense 5.5 Out of the Box, Says Report

One Max, the oversized version of the popular HTC One flagship is expected to see the light of day at IFA Berlin 2013, coming along with a 5.9-inch display and the same design lines used for the One and One Mini models.
According to the latest reports that hit the market ahead of the HTC One Max launch event scheduled for early September, the first phablet developed by the Taiwanese company will borrow the both the 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera and the 4 megapixel primary camera with UltraPixel technology from the HTC One.
The rumor mill speculates that the HTC One Max will be underpinned by a powerful Snapdragon 800 chipset based on four Krait 400 cores clocked at 2.3 GHz and Adreno 330 GPU, helped by 2 GB of RAM. The 5.9-inch display will come with full HD resolution and Super LCD3 technology. It seems that all these will be kept alive by a 3,300 mAh battery.
A new report from RB Men says that the phablet will leave the factory gates pre-loaded with Android 4.3, customized with HTC’s proprietary Sense 5.5 interface. The publication also writes that the HTC One Max might arrive with a fingerprint sensor.
Of course, the above mentioned details weren’t confirmed by official sources, therefore we are recommending you to take them with a pinch of salt, as it would be wiser to wait for HTC One Max’s debut at IFA 2013 before jumping into conclusions.
The race for the 5.5+ inch smartphone segment is heating up this year as we already have three interesting smartphones that battle for the best phablet of the year: the already announced Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (launches September 4), and HTC’s One Max.
